The green mobility loan is a low interest rate personal loan(1) designed to finance the purchase of an electric car and charging point.
We’re making it easier for you to buy an electric car:
- fixed and preferential rate;
- repayment term from 12 to 60 months;
- preferential terms on full financing for your sustainable mobility (car and charging point);
- interest is deducted from your taxes.

A simplified process
A range of installation options are available for both single family homes and apartments in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
electris guides you through every stage of your charging project:
- providing advice on how to choose an electric charging point, depending on your living circumstances;
- giving you a quote for the supply and installation of an electric charging point in your home;
- offering a free e_mobility token(4) for charging your vehicle when you’re on the move, at public charging points;
- helping you apply for the government charging point installation bonus(2)(3) (up to 50% of the package offered)(5).
How to sign up to our green mobility offer
It couldn’t be easier:
- Simulate your loan online;
- Submit your loan application;
- The bank assesses your application;
- If approved, we’ll send you your loan offer;
- If you would like to take advantage of the electris Luxembourg S.A. offer, please submit your request using the online form and the code you received from your BGL BNP Paribas branch
- Your installation project is then handled by our partner, electris Luxembourg S.A., starting with a technical visit and quote from electris.
Good to know
From 1 October 2024, the maximum subsidy that can be obtained to purchase a more sustainable car will be €6,000 instead of the current €8,000(6).
This variable subsidy is granted under certain conditions, including:
- for the purchase of a new fully electric vehicle with a maximum energy consumption of ≤ 16 kWh/100 km;
- for the purchase of a vehicle whose consumption is between 16 and 118 kWh/100 km, the subsidy will be a maximum of €3,000;
- the vehicle must be owned for more than three years, compared to one year currently;
- you can apply for a subsidy of €1,500 to put towards the purchase of a second-hand electric vehicle, provided you keep it for at least two years;
- for new fully electric family cars (energy consumption > 16 kWh/100 km and ⩾ 7-seater vehicle);
- for a new fully electric van and hydrogen fuel cell cars.
Other, more powerful electric cars whose energy consumption exceeds 200 Wh/km (or 180 Wh/km when their power exceeds 150 kilowatts), will “no longer be covered by the financial aid scheme”.
